Concrete Strength & Pricing Guide
Concrete prices vary based on strength requirements. Different PSI ratings (3000, 4000, 5000+) come with different costs to reflect material composition and performance characteristics.
Pricing Factors:
- • Concrete strength and mix specifications
- • Delivery distance and transportation fees
- • Minimum order quantities and service charges

Yard Calculator FAQ
To calculate cubic yards, multiply length × width × height (all in yards). For example: 10 yards × 5 yards × 0.111 yards (4 inches) = 5.55 cubic yards. Our calculator handles the conversion automatically.
Concrete is typically sold by the cubic yard. Using yards simplifies ordering from ready-mix suppliers, as you can directly use the calculated cubic yards when placing orders.
Approximately 45 bags of 80-lb concrete mix or 60 bags of 60-lb mix equal one cubic yard. For large projects over 1 cubic yard, ready-mix concrete is more economical.
One cubic yard equals 27 cubic feet (3ft × 3ft × 3ft = 27 ft³). Our calculator displays results in both units for convenience.
Order 5-10% extra concrete to account for waste, spillage, and slight variations. Use the Reserve Volume field in our calculator to add this buffer automatically.
